UCR's EPIC SBDC - Entrepreneurial Proof of concept and Innovation Center - Small Business Development Center

UC Riverside’s EPIC SBDC provides individualized support to early stage tech entrepreneurs and companies in the Inland Empire to grow their businesses at no cost. Services include specialized consulting, training programs and workshops, access to capital and SBIR/STTR assistance. EPIC SBDC has a pool of seasoned professionals who serve as Entrepreneurs in Residence to provide business consulting to help you launch or grow you company.

About

EPIC SBDC provides tech companies in the Inland Empire access to both the technical expertise of cutting-edge research university as well as the business expertise of 15+ UCR’s Entrepreneurs In Residence (EiRs). Several services are offered including specialized consulting, training programs and workshops, and SBIR/STTR assistance at no cost. With this comprehensive suite of services, EPIC SBDC is able to provide support to those interested in starting a tech business as well as those who are wanting to scale their existing business. 

EPIC SBDC has been founded as an expansion of services provided by UCR’s Entrepreneurial Proof of Concept and Innovation Center (EPIC) through which most of the clients have access to additional resources such as the Highlander Fund (the first venture capital fund in the Riverside area) and the NSF I-Corps program. EPIC is partnering with the city and county of Riverside to provide business acceleration and office space at the dry-lab incubator ExCITE. In addition, the UC Riverside’s Wet Lab Incubator has opened its doors to biotech entrepreneurs throughout the Inland Empire. Mentoring and access to capital for incubator residents will be provided by EPIC SBDC.
